Toxicology reports state that Michael Jackson might have died of drug overdose, specifically of a powerful painkiller called Demerol, which he was injected with on Thursday morning.
While the toxicology reports and autopsy will not be finalized for at least six weeks, a close friend of his by the name of Deepak Chopra, confirmed that the King of Pop was addicted to painkillers (Demerol and Oxycontin), and stated that he was "not confronting his drug addiction". Deepak goes on to tell CNN that "I think it (drug addiction) was responsible for his death, not just contributed."
Sources say that Michael Jackson "got whatever he wanted" in terms of medical requests, material indulgences and otherwise. Jackson family's attorney, Brian Oxman, claims he warned Jackson about the dangerous drug taking but Michael refused to listen. He also says that his family, who had been trying to take care of Michael Jackson and his addiction, was, instead, allowing him to continue his addiction.
