MT-STAT Inc., in cooperation with MTC Academy, is now offering a course to learn conversational Visayan/Cebuano.

As a foreigner myself, I know how challenging it is to learn Visayan without help from a school/teacher. I tried to learn from books when I first arrived here 5 years ago, and found them to be pretty useless. I'd learn phrases that NO one uses, and my pronunciation was way off. I gained no understanding of Visayan sentence structure. I also found that VERY few people here are able to teach the language to a foreigner.

Our courses are 1-3 months in length, consisting of lectures, class activities/discussions, written activities, and listening exercises in our computer labs. We also offer 1 on 1 tutoring for our students. In the future, we may offer a short term, intensive course. All lecture rooms and labs are air conditioned.
